In the latest news on the Socceroos injury management, the team is likely to rest Harry Kewell & Mark Schwarzer from tonight’s World Cup Soccer Farewell Match at the MCG.
We feel this is a great opportunity for the 2nd in line goalkeeper and those pushing for strikers positions to get some match practice in the Socceroos set up as well as provide our 2 stars with the rest needed to make sure they are 100% come game time in South Africa.
It will be interesting to see what happens on the striker front especially as Kewell is adaptable and, if another striker shows they can score, Kewell can still come from midfield and both can play in South Africa.
